Edison Foard Construction is a third-generation, family-owned general contractor and construction manager that has operated in the Charlotte area since 1939. We focus on public and private commercial building projects in the Southeast in the following markets: industrial, government, K-12 and higher education, retail, office, warehouse, sports and recreation, and aviation. For more than 80 years, Edison Foard has built a reputation for using innovative and professional construction techniques to provide value-added service to our customers. Our greatest value as an enterprise is embedded in our relationships: * Those we build with our people and foster between them * Those we make with clients who trust us with their most important projects * Those with colleagues and competitors in the construction industry who look at us as preferred partners. We believe in fostering a work environment that is welcoming and inclusive, and we are proud to have been awarded the 2019 Crowns of Enterprise Prime Contractor of the Year Award, sponsored by the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, and the “Steel Toe Boot Award” as General Contractor of the Year by the Metrolina Minority Contractor Association in conjunction with the NC Subcontractor's Alliance, both of which honor companies that embrace inclusion and diversity in the construction industry.
