Our doctors: Dr. Stiegemeier, a graduate of Ohio State University’s College of Optometry brings his expertise in glaucoma, eye teaming issues, prism, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Kirchmer provides comprehensive care with specialization in ocular disease, treating medical emergencies, and specialty contact lenses. She received her doctorate degree with honors at the University of Alabama Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Friel graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. She received training from specialists in the areas of primary care, retinal disease, glaucoma and anterior segment including dry eye disease. Dr. Vizithum is the owner and CEO of CFV. He has provided clinic care to nursing home residents, at the Durham VA Medical Center, at the Chapel Hill Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center, and he acted as the Interim Clinic Director at TLC Laser Eye Center in Raleigh. Dr. Chow is a partner and co-owner at CFV. He attended the University of California at Berkeley for his undergraduate and Doctorate of Optometry, and has received awards for graduate research in diabetes and patient communication skills.
