YES! YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SEMINAR

The YES! program, Youth Empowerment Seminar, is a holistic experiential program that includes mindfulness, stress management, communication, conflict resolution, positive psychology, social-emotional learning, and character education. It answers this need of today’s educational system with cutting edge empirically validated educational approaches to attend to the stress in young people and thereby give them specific tools to take responsibility for the direction of their own lives. In the YES! Youth Empowerment Seminar students learn how: - to manage their own emotions rather than having their emotions manage them. - a few minutes of breathing in specific patterns and sitting for a few minutes in silence each day can give them greater mental clarity, a better ability to focus on their school work, a clearer idea of their own purpose in life and improved relationships with others. - to understand the workings of their own mind so they can navigate their way through the influences of modern day society. - to use health alternatives to dealing with stress rather than the commonly used methods such as alcohol, drugs, violence and sex.
