AKITA Drilling is an onshore drilling contractor that works with exploration and production companies in the U.S. and internationally.Our drilling rigs are among the industry's newest, and most are purpose-built for North America's unconventional shale plays. We offer the latest AC drive technologies, PLC-based controls, automated pipe handling and large-capacity mud pumps. Additionally, multi-well skidding and X-Y walking systems combined with a modular designs make our rigs highly mobile. AKITA is currently drilling primarily in the U.S. Rocky Mountain region with rigs in the Denver-Julesburg Basin in Colorado, including the Niobrara Shale; the Williston Basin in North Dakota, including the Bakken Shale; the Anadarko Basin in Oklahoma and Texas; and different regions of Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
