Description
Information
Wycliffe Hall was founded in 1877 by a small group of Evangelical Leaders (including the soon-to-become Bishop of Liverpool, JC Ryle). Their vision was to play a small but significant part in the wider University of Oxford, which after all, has as its motto “The Lord is my Light”. Half of our student body is Church of England ordinands. The rest of the community is an exciting mixture of postgraduate students and undergraduate apologetic students. We emphasise academic excellence, practical and ministry training, and personal or spiritual formation. Our overall goal is to send our alumni into the world as leaders, preacher, apologists, church planters and evangelists. We love to see people leave here with a new love for Jesus and his Word, and a deeper commitment to his mission.
