Winnacunnet High School

Winnacunnet High School is an American public high school located in Hampton, New Hampshire. It is a cooperative school district that serves students in grades 9 through 12 who reside in the communities of Hampton, Seabrook, North Hampton, and Hampton Falls. The name Winnacunnet is a Native American word that means "beautiful place in the pines"​. Winnacunnet is a four-year, comprehensive high school. Winnacunnet prepares students to become life-long learners, effective communicators, and active and contributing citizens. Enrollment is approximately 1320. WHS Vision and Mission Statement The Winnacunnet High School community seeks to create a consistent and caring atmosphere where learning is relevant, meaningful, and connected for the community of learners. This environment will be engaging for all and foster a love of learning that is life long. The Winnacunnet High School community challenges all students to be critical thinkers, responsible decision makers, and creative problem solvers. By demonstrating courage, independence, knowledge, and skills, all students will become effective and contributing members of society. Curriculum Winnacunnet integrates traditional academic content, career and technical education, and a generous offering of electives. Curriculum options include multi-leveled courses, Running Start courses, for which the student can earn dual credit through the state college system, College Board Advanced Placement courses, and access to programs at the regional technical center—Seacoast School of Technology.
