West Coast Magnetics

West Coast Magnetics is an engineering-based manufacturing company with deep knowledge of three critical technologies: MHz capable high frequency multi-channel band stop filters, switching frequency transformers, inductors and common mode chokes, and RF inductors. Originally founded as a build to spec coil winding company, and we have traveled far beyond that. An active R&D program has resulted in recent patents and innovative designs that have supported our customers in maintaining a competitive advantage. Our mandate is to understand the future of these technologies to develop the next generation of electronic devices. We employ theoretical models and collect empirical data to support our customer's needs for components and assemblies. This experience and knowledge is employed directly through the design process and to assist in revision changes as required throughout the life cycle of our customer's products. Our engineering team, customer operations and custom manufacturing are co-located in Stockton California with a higher volume manufacturing site in Tecate Mexico.Engineering Capabilities Our engineering department has extensive experience in the design and build of power transformers. Similarly we have a high level of expertise on inductor design for power and RF applications. Importantly, we also have first hand knowledge of manufacturing processes. With this combination of skills we are able to support our customers to develop products that are industry leading from technology and manufacturability perspective.ManufacturingBoth the Stockton, CA and Tecate Mexico facilities include toroidal and bobbin winding equipment, assembly, potting, impregnation and a complete range of electrical tests. All of our products are 100% electrical tested on equipment calibrated to NIST standards. We are ISO9000, ISO13485, RoHs and ITAR compliant.
