Since 2001, WeeHands has been an industry-leading children's sign language and language development program delivered through interactive, fun classes, as well as a line of tailored products. In 2014, WeeHands became part of Morneau Shepell’s Children’s Support Solutions, an organization that provides health-centered and educational services to children with differences to help them reach their potential. Long before your baby can speak, she has the ability to understand speech & wants to communicate with you. Most babies are able to sign back to you by the time they are 8-12 months of age. Sara Bingham is the founder of WeeHands and the author of The Baby Signing Book. WeeHands is the world's leading children's sign language and language development program for babies, toddlers and preschool children. WeeHands has more than 70+ qualified Instructors across North America. WeeHands Instructors come from a variety of professional backgrounds. For example, some of our our Instructors area American Sign Language Interpreters, Speech-Language Pathologists and Teachers of the Deaf. All of our instructors have a passion for teaching young families and have a background in both American Sign Language and education. Our classes have a strong emphasis on teaching American Sign Language vocabulary and teaching it well. We also focus on how and when to teach these signs using games and strategies that focus on age-appropriate language development.
