WCRD is the second largest student activity at Ball State. (Only the marching band has greater participation.)Operates as an “applied learning” laboratory for Ball State students interested in media and radio. Students are responsible for FCC rule compliance.Winner of many Communicator and other awards.Operates independently of Indiana Public Radio and serves as the campus radio voice of Ball State studentsComprehensive sports coverage of Ball State and area high school games – including coverage of games/sports not broadcast by any other stations – with significant and well-documented listening over the air and on the web by the general public, alumni, students and parents of athletes. WCRD offers game play-by-play and/or coaches’ interview shows for all Ball State varsity sports.
