Warren County Community College

College HistoryWarren County Community College was established in July 1981 by the New Jersey State Board of Higher Education and the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders. In its earliest years, WCCC operated as a “College without Walls” and held classes in local high schools. In 1987, the New Jersey State Board of Higher Education provided WCCC with degree-granting authority and a temporary facility was leased. In 1988, WCCC graduated its first class.In 1992, WCCC was accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. In January 1996, the College moved into its current building on Route 57 in Washington, NJ. In 1997, a four-classroom addition was completed. The College was awarded a ten-year re-accreditation in 1998.WCCC offers a wide range of certificate, continuing education, and degree programs designed to help students enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college or university.
