Waddesdon is a French Renaissance-style chateau with formal Victorian gardens and aviary, set in parkland in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. It was built in the 1870s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his superb art collection and entertain fashionable Victorian visitors.
