KG, , is part of the VULKAN group and a family-owned enterprise which manufactures highly flexible couplings, brake systems, elastic mounts and shaft systems for marine propulsion, power generator applications and industrial drives. VULKAN Kupplungs- und Getriebebau comprises the Divisions VULKAN Couplings (marine and stationary power generation) and VULKAN Drive Tech (industrial applications). VULKAN couplings are used worldwide for many decades in cruise ships, container ships and working ships as large suction dredgers, as well as in the oil and gas industry, mining and materials handling technology.
The 125-year-old company is in sole possession of the Hackforth family and employs approximately 1,200 employees at 20 locations worldwide, including five manufacturing facilities in Germany, Brazil, USA, China and India.
