Virginia Tech School Of Public And International Affairs (SPIA)

The School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) at Virginia Tech comprises three programs and a research/policy institute: Urban Affairs and Planning (UAP), the Center for Public Administration and Policy and Government and International Affairs (GIA) and the Institute for Policy and Governance (IPG). We offer a highly interdisciplinary and flexible set of programs at the undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral level, as well as online programs, study abroad and experiential learning opportunities at our three campuses: Blacksburg, the university’s main campus, as well as in Richmond, the state capital, and in Alexandria, in the Washington DC metro area. Our multiple locations offer connections to local, state, and federal government, international institutions, and non-profit organizations.
