The Founder Chairman Lt. Padmashree Dr. B. V. RAO - fondly referred to as “The Father of Indian Poultry Industry”, motivated by his wife Lt. Smt. Uttaradevi Rao, established VENKATESHWARA HATCHERIES or The VH GROUP in 1971. Today the group is the largest fully integrated poultry group. She is the 1st woman to be elected as President of the World Poultry Science Association (IB) for 4 years in a row. The Managing Director of Uttara Foods & Feeds Pvt. Ltd. , Mr. B. Venkatesh Rao has been instrumental in elevating the company to the heights it occupies today. He has by his proactive approach lifted performance of the Company to high level of efficiency and productivity, especially in operations and marketing of poultry feed. Under the leadership of Mr. B.
