With a workforce of more than 3,000 scientists, engineers, business support professionals and key military, CERDEC is the Army’s applied research and advanced technology development center for command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C5ISR) technologies and systems. We work with the Defense Department, national research organizations, academia and industry to enable information superiority and tactical overmatch for the Joint Warfighter, who is at the center of everything we do.We execute research, advanced technology development and systems and sustainment engineering in ten core technology areas across the C5ISR domain: Assured Positioning, Navigation and Timing; Cyberspace Operations; C5ISR Enterprise Support; Electronic Warfare; Counter-IED and Minefield Detection/Defeat; Intelligence, Analysis, Exploitation and Dissemination; Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting; Mission Command Capabilities and Computing Platforms; Tactical and Deployed Power; Tactical and Strategic Networks.From our unique vantage point, we foresee trends, we recognize opportunities to adapt and mature relevant technological breakthroughs and we inform research investments that support the Army's priorities for Network/C3I, Air and Missile Defense, Soldier Lethality, Long-Range Precision Fires, Next-Generation Combat Vehicle and Future Vertical Lift. CERDEC works directly with several of the Army's Future Command Cross Functional Teams (CFT) leading these priorities.Mission:To discover, develop, and deliver innovative technologies and integrated solutions that shape the battle space and enable information superiority for the warfighter.
