University of SS. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava is public university which basic mission is to protect and disseminate knowledge, and develop education on the basis of scientific knowledge and creative scientific and artistic activities, in the sense of national and universal humanistic and democratic traditions. Through its activities, UCM contributes to the development of erudition as a part of culture of the whole society and at the same time contributes to the increase of scientific, technical and economic level of the society. These activities of UCM are related to the world-wide progress in science, technology, art, and culture. The University focuses on the training of qualified university graduates in the fields of social, economic, legal, and natural sciences.
