For a community to be great, it has to be great for everyone. Too many people are vulnerable and isolated across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, in need of connection and support.
When you show your local love with United Way of the Lower Mainland, you are investing in your own local community – where you live, work and play. When we carry out acts of local love, we can be proud of where we live.
Our expertise comes from being deeply embedded in communities across the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and beyond. When you want to unleash your local love, we can mobilize our broad network and partnerships, for maximum impact.
We focus in three main areas: building strong communities, helping kids be all they can be, and moving people from poverty to possibility.
We are a social change engine powered by strategy, research, partnerships and public support. We are leaders in our field bringing the right people together to make change, and track progress.
UWLM funds 150+ agencies throughout the Lower Mainland to deliver more than 300 programs and services.
We also manage two provincial programs. The seniors program Better at Home is funded by the provincial government. The early childhood program Success By 6 is a partnership with the Credit Unions of BC and the provincial government.
