For the past 75 years, United Salad Co. has had a long history of delivering fresh, quality produce throughout the Pacific Northwest. In 1941, the Spada family knew that women would have to provide for their families while still having enough time to put dinner on the table. With $15, a flatbed truck, and a bathtub, they began washing and prepackaging salad to sell to the women in her area. By 1960 United Salad was recognized as a full-line wholesaler.
Today United Salad Co. is operated out of Portland, Oregon, in a 200,000 square foot warehouse and office space that employs over 350 people. They offer the highest quality conventional and organic produce, custom-cut fruits and vegetables, grocery, dry goods, grab & go, and meal replacement items to the marketplace. To this day, the Spada family still holds to their core beliefs to “Establish a reputation of honesty and loyalty, and a commitment for providing the customer with the best quality product.”
