Tropical Egypt for Investment and Development was founded in 1989 as a family company that has since gone through three family generations of board members. It operates in the fields of real estate and construction, tourism and hospitality management and investment and development of tourism projects.With almost 30 years of experience in the field, it has evolved into a holding company that manages its own investments in the tourism industry. Tropical for Investment and Development exercises large economies of scale that allow to execute its projects from start to finish. It bids for plots of land, draws up the feasibility study of prospective projects, handles the design and construction aspects of the project and finally manages and markets the project using its subsidiary hospitality management company. With over 2,000 employees and two projects under construction in different locations in Egypt, its tourism portfolio includes four hotels “Tropitel Hotels & Resorts” and two restaurant/club “Little Buddha”, that are part of the subsidiary franchise of the international “Buddha Bar” chain.
