The Tri-City ValleyCats are a professional baseball franchise affiliated with the Houston Astros, and have been a summer staple in the Capital Region since 2002. The ValleyCats compete in Minor League Baseball’s New York-Penn League, which consists of 14 teams who are affiliated with the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Orioles, Phillies and Nationals to name a few. The ValleyCats welcomed over 140,000 fans to a game in 2018, an average of 4,119 fans per night. On the field, the team won their 8th Stedler Division title en route to the franchise’s 3rd New York-Penn League Championship! With a mission to create fans for life by providing an experience that's affordable, fun, and entertaining while in a safe and clean environment, baseball is just a piece of the lure. The ValleyCats attract a diverse fan base to "The Joe" by creating 38 unique theme nights, designed to keep every ballgame exciting and memorable. Fans are treated to 14 extravagant fireworks displays, tons of giveaways, fun promotions, and more!The ValleyCats' season spans the summer months of mid June to early September, and consists of 76 games - 38 of which take place at the 'Cats home ballpark, Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.Built in 2002, and located on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, "The Joe" features 4,500 fixed seats, 10 luxury suites, four unique picnic areas, a wide open-air concourse, and two grass berm seating areas.ValleyCats games offer business opportunities unlike any traditional marketing channel, because when you advertise at "The Joe," you connect with a captive audience in an enjoyable setting.
