TRADIZIONE ITALIANA - Italian Food Tradition is a consortium currently affiliating sixteen leading Italian Food Industry companies. It seeks to promote Italian high quality food on foreign markets –particularly the emerging markets - and support member companies in the sale of their products through the retail channel as well as in cafés, restaurants and hotels.
In addition to strengthening the presence of its affiliated companies in international markets, TRADIZIONE ITALIANA- Italian Food Tradition aims to develop synergies in production, marketing and distribution among its members.
With a product portfolio comprising a wide range of specialties representing the finest of the Italian food tradition - from pasta to canned tomatoes, from olive oil to mozzarella and from balsamic vinegar to pickles, dried fruit, chocolate, frozen pastry, coffee and wine - the consortium represents a turnover of € 3.0 billion, with exports accounting for 40%.
The affiliated companies include: Acetificio Marcello De Nigris - vinegar, balsamic vinegar and condiments; Argiolas Formaggi - sheep cheeses and goat cheeses; Besana - nuts, dried fruit, seeds, chocolates and snacks; D&D Italia, D'Amico - preserved vegetables, pickles, preserved mushrooms, pesto, pasta sauce and olives; Fattorie Garofalo - buffalo mozzarella cheese and buffalo products; Fresystem, Cupiello - frozen pastry, sweet & savoury; Kimbo Espresso Italiano - coffee; La Doria - peeled tomatoes, canned tomatoes, pasta sauces, canned vegetables and fruit juices; Oleificio Basso Fedele & Figli - olive oil; Pastificio G.
