We are also the UK’s leading timber harvesting and marketing company and the first forestry company in the UK to extend the scope of its Forest Stewardship Council’s Chain of Custody certification to include the sale of both Certified and Controlled Wood. All timber harvested and sold by us can be traced back to its origin and has been legally felled. In addition, by leveraging our unique position in the biomass supply chain we are able to work with clients to provide solutions and opportunities in all types of wood and biomass resource. We are fully ISO accredited with ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and OHSAS 18001 (Health and Safety standards). The quality of our safety management processes and incident records have been regularly recognised at the highest level by the annual RoSPA Awards. On 1st September 2015 BSW Timber Limted acquired Tilhill Forestry Limited from UPM. The acquisition marks the beginning of a strengthened partnership in the forest industry that will deliver quality from beginning to end. From creating new forests through to producing timber end products.
