TiE Vancouver

TiE-Vancouver is a not-for-profit B.C. organization with a mission to foster and support entrepreneurship. TiE as a concept was born spontaneously when a handful of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs with roots in the Indian subcontinent met by chance in 1992. Out of that meeting came the idea of an organization that would bring together high achievers for the purpose of networking. TiE-Vancouver shares the values and philosophy of the TiE organization in California and other parts of the world. The power of networking grows, as the network gets larger. TiE-Vancouver is proud to be the first Canadian chapter of TiE and part of a rapidly growing organization with chapters now sprouting all over the world. Since its formal inception in 1999, TiE Vancouver, through its base of Charter Members and Associate Members, have already helped finance and grow a number of emerging companies in Vancouver, and continue to collaborate and provide mentorship to entrepreneurs on an ongoing basis. Our membership base contains an impressive pool of diverse and extensive backgrounds across industries such as technology, real estate, manufacturing, retail, venture capital, finance, legal, accounting, business consulting and many more. TiE holds regular networking and educational events throughout the year, and offers specific Member-only benefits such as through its Venture Facilitation and Mentoring Program, and exclusive Member-only events.
