The SRI Conference is the largest and longest-running gathering of sustainable, responsible and impact investing (SRI) professionals in the world. In 1990, First Affirmative founded The SRI Conference – later The SRI Conference and Community – one of the first gatherings of its kind, bringing socially responsible investors and companies together to leverage SRI investing principles in their growth strategies. In 2016, Folio Financial acquired First Affirmative and The SRI Conference as part of its ongoing mission to transform the way people invest for the better.The explosion in SRI assets in recent years can be attributed to more and better access to information, and the growing body of evidence suggesting that investing with an SRI lens may lead to better performance. SRI assets now account for $12.0 trillion—or one in four dollars—of the $46.6 trillion in total assets under professional management in the United States, according to the US SIF Foundation. The future of SRI is brighter than ever before and we are proud to play a leading role in shaping that future. Our goal is to help grow the SRI ecosystem even further through the SRI Community, by including all those who have a stake in a healthy, safe, equitable, and prosperous future, and by providing a forum for year-round collaboration and communication.
