The ‘Famous’ Spotty Bag Shop has been described by customers as a “charming, chaotic Aladdin’s cave” where there is amazing treats in store for our customers, all at low prices. With more than 18,000sq feet of retail space and well over 40,000 lines, there is nowhere better to spend a day out with the whole family. This locally owned business has been going from strength to strength over the years. Visitors travel for miles to visit our well-known destination store. The Spotty Bag Shop gained its trademark name because of the shopping bags handed out to our customers. Come along and see our extensive range of products, we have a department for everyone – from clothing, shoes, home ware, toiletries, pets, stationery, tools/DIY, electrical, toys and party. Our seasonal department runs from February, stocking all your gardening needs, we then welcome the summer season with our wetsuit range, inflatables and paddling pools. From October we bring some spooky treats with our Halloween department, offering fancy dress costumes, Halloween accessories and Halloween props; not forgetting our Spooky Room of Doom. Christmas brings a magical sparkle to the shop, with all your Christmas essentials wrapped up. We offer a wide variety of gift bags, gift wrap, cards, Christmas decorations, trees, lights, outdoor decorations, and of course our enchanted Santa’s Grotto. With a fantastic atmosphere and something for everyone we really are the one stop shop for all the family! Also seating 48 diners in the counter-service café located within The ‘famous’ Spotty Bag Shop - the café features a full menu of reasonably priced 'comfort' food influenced by Scottish cooking traditions. The café boasts a cake cabinet bar filled with Auntie Ina’s homemade cakes, biscuits, tarts and traditional bakes such as scones, pancakes and morning rolls.
