The Mexican Institute of Greater Houston is Changing Lives for a Better Tomorrow. MIGH is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 1991 and registered in the State of Texas. Our MISSION: "To Enrich the Lives of Hispanics through Education." We provide Basic Computer Technology courses to help Hispanic parents develop themselves into the leaders of family advancement. Our focus is on parents as the key figures of family advancement. A distinctive and positive impact of MIGH is the improvement of the educational attainment of parents, which elevates their social and economic viability. Our VISION: To become the region’s premier collaborator in delivering Computer Technology Educational Services for our underserved Hispanic families. Our GOAL: To help Hispanic parents – through education – become effective leaders of their families and their communities, as well as better skilled members of the work force. FACTS: 1. More than 10 years providing educational services to the Houston area 2. More than 5 years in Beaumont, Port Arthur and San Antonio 3. Expanding to the Dallas County area in 2011 and presently with classes at Garland ISD and Irving ISD 4. More than 9,000 graduates in 10 years 5. More than 175 Community Learning Centers
