The International Bank of Azerbaijan

The International Bank of Azerbaijan was established on January 10, 1992 as a joint-stock company.The International Bank of Azerbaijan, a modern state-owned bank, is currently one of the leading banks in the South Caucasus region in terms of assets, customer base and international operating portfolio. The bank provides universal banking services to individual and corporate clients with 36 branches and 38 divisions covering various regions of Azerbaijan. The number of legal entities served by the bank is about 11.000, and the number of individuals is about 800.000.The bank closely participates in large-scale state projects in the fields of petrochemicals, transport and communications, energy, etc., and social programs, as well as supports the financing of large, small and medium enterprises. Pension and salary payments with plastic cards was made by this bank for the first time in the country. AzeriCard which is the first processing center in Azerbaijan, was established in 1996 by the International Bank of Azerbaijan.The International Bank of Azerbaijan currently has the largest ATM network in the country and cooperates with most international payment systems (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, Diners Club, JCB).This bank is the first and only bank of Azerbaijan which offers “American Express” payment cards, as well as to operate with JCB cards to its customers. At present, the number of active payment cards of the bank is more than 1.3 million.Considering the convenience of customers, the International Bank of Azerbaijan has created the first R@ndevu service in the country. The International Bank of Azerbaijan was the first to apply “VISA PayWave” and “Mastercard PayPass” payment technologies in our country.The implementation of the "Zero Liability" policy in partnership with VISA is also associated with the name of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, which is the only in our country.
