The Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education

The Cleveland Avenue Foundation for Education, The CAFE – a (501c3), was founded in 2014 by Liz and Don Thompson. The CAFÉ is committed to supporting and mentoring students and professionals as they progress through various stages in life and to broadening the landscape of African-American giving through philanthropy. We achieve these goals by making strategic investments in organizations that are aligned with our vision for large scale impact in college access/success and career readiness/attainment, and through the direct support of individuals through the various stages of leadership development and professional growth. We also hold convenings to increase awareness and actions in support of topics in the education space. Our goal is to be a model for innovation, collaboration and authenticity.
