About Teen Idol
Teen education and development program created in 2006 by the City of Portland and it's Parks & Recreation Bureau. Teen Idol (originally Portland Teen Idol) was transfered to Dark Wing Productions in January 2011 and Beaverton Teen Idol was acquired from that city in 2015. Teens attending school in grades 7-12 in and around Portland Oregon, including Vancouver Washington, compete, volunteer and learn. Operates in English, Spanish and Russian. Includes a Standup and All-Star competition in addition to the multiple lingual singing programs, Teen Idol Alumni Association and Teen Idol Volunteers. Teen and Adult volunteers are also encouraged to help with the program.
