On July 1, 1980, in a climate of skyrocketing professional liability insurance premiums, a bold group of dentists took action and created The Dentists Insurance Company, TDIC. The three promises made 40 years ago when TDIC was founded are still true today: to only protect dentists, to protect them better than any other insurance company and to be there when they need us. TDIC has grown to serve more than 24,000 dentists in 15 states, earning an A (Excellent) from AM Best for 25 consecutive years and the endorsement of several state dental associations along the way.
