Patient Education Modules were created to disseminate surgery information. Surgery can be a life altering decision and too many people enter the operating room ill prepared for the potential consequences of this decision and are often disappointed with the outcome. Our purpose is neither to persuade nor dissuade the patient from having an operation; it is to open the avenue of communication between physician and patient so that trust can be achieved. In your own home, at your own pace, you will learn about your surgical procedure and potential exposures, why it's done, how it's done, the complications and the realistic expectations. You will be empowered with information to make an informed decision regarding the risks and benefits of your operation. Patient Education is a resource guide for the patient which provides the medical provider with a "billable event" from the administration of these assessments and also provides the surgeon with a level of risk mitigation.. These assessment outcomes are completed and directed upon completion to the provider's Cloud "Dashboard" Account.
