Sukup Manufacturing Co. is the world's largest family-owned, full-line grain drying, handling & storage equipment manufacturer. Our product line also includes pre-engineered steel buildings. Sukup products are used by farmers & commercial elevators throughout the US and the world to make grain drying & storage more efficient & profitable. Sukup headquarters are located in Sheffield, Iowa, just off I-35, 100 miles north of Des Moines & 150 miles south of Minneapolis. We are the largest employer in the area with approximately 600 employees. Our manufacturing facilities are full of advanced steel fabricating and forming equipment. Sukup has a serious "do it ourselves" attitude, not just in manufacturing, but also in regard to marketing, IT and practically any other area you can think of. We would rather do things in-house with our people than outsource. Obviously, that leads to many types of employment opportunities within our company. Three generations of the Sukup family are active in the business and the family attitude runs throughout the company. Employee events include a summer picnic, Christmas party, Safety Recognition dinner, an employee golf tournament and a watermelon feed. Eugene Sukup, founder of the company, is still involved with the company. His oldest son, Charles serves as president. His younger son, Steve, serves as CFO. The third generation is involved in various areas of the company, from engineering, to purchasing, to legal. Keeping with the family theme, husband-wife teams are not uncommon at Sukup. Family definitely comes first at Sukup. Being a family business has not held Sukup Manufacturing Co. back. Sukup is the world's fastest growing bin manufacturer and our newest product line, Steel Buildings, is quickly gaining a foothold in the rural construction market. The company holds approximately 90 US patents and prides itself in developing innovative products that make grain production more efficient and profitable.
