One of the largest boarding Prep schools in the North of England, we are committed to excellence in all fields of endeavour. Founded in the Catholic Benedictine tradition in 1929, the school asks much from the children’s strengths and supports them in their weaknesses enabling each child to achieve their best in whatever way they can.Activities include Forest School, shooting, golf, dance, chess, drama, orchestra, cookery, digital photography and Green club. The children are supported pastorally by the large number of resident staff who even accompany trains to and from London at the beginning and end of each half term.Sport, Music and Drama are strong traditions.
