St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is the only full service community hospital serving the entire Rockaway and the Five Towns communities providing general adult medical surgical services, pediatrics, obstetrics and psychiatric services. St. John’s is a faith-based institution and the cornerstone of Episcopal Health Services. A vital part of our mission is to provide quality health care in a compassionate and caring environment, which we have incorporated as our Hospital’s Core Values and Service Standards. At St. John’s, we are constantly working to improve quality of care. We are very proud to report that, according to recent publicly reported data, our quality of care measures for heart attack, heart failure, and pneumonia exceed state averages. We continue to strive to raise all our core measures and the satisfaction of our patients. With our neighborhood partners, we're working hard to raise the overall quality of health of our community. We see our role going beyond treating and diagnosing the acutely ill to improving access and prevention to make our overall community healthier.
