Information
The SS Great Britain Trust is a registered charity and non-profit limited company, registered by guarantee. The Trust conserves the SS Great Britain, the world’s first great ocean liner launched in 1843, and puts her on public display in at Brunel's SS Great Britain, a multi award-winning visitor attraction. In total the Trust looks after around 50,000 separate objects and archives; and delivers education programmes through the Brunel Institute, a world-class conservation and education centre, which includes a maritime library. Brunel's SS Great Britain also hosts major private and corporate events, dinners, conferences and weddings on board the SS Great Britain and alongside her in a state-of-the-art lecture theatre.
