Sri Sathya Sai University (inaugurated in November 1981) was established with the purpose of filling in a growing void in today’s business world – the need for values based professionals. The University seeks to integrate values with secular education and mould students with a holistic personality (with a balance of physical, mental, intellectual, psychic and spiritual aspects) who would serve the nation and the world as responsible global citizens in the 21st century.Its three campuses encompass numerous academic departments, divisions, and degree-granting programmes, as well as interdisciplinary centers, laboratories, and programmes whose work cuts across traditional departmental boundaries. The University offers undergraduate and post graduate programmes in Arts, Commerce and Sciences and professional programmes in Management, Technology (computer sciences and applied optics) and Nano sciences. Sri Sathya Sai University is one of the leading universities in India with the highest accreditation rating of ‘A++’ from the University Grants Commission’s regulatory body - National Assessment and Accreditation Council. This puts the University in the top bracket of the Universities in the Indian Education system.
