Specchiasol's story begins in 1973 when Giuseppe Maria Ricchiuto, significantly ahead of his time, understood the potential for natural medicine and launched an individual wholesale activity in herbal products. Specchiasol now employs 130 people and distributes its products almost all over the world. It is now an internationally recognised reference point in the natural wellness sector and over the past forty years, has contributed significantly to the spread and success of phytotherapy and natural medicine. Specchiasol Group is divided into: - Herbal and Dietetics Division (food supplements), both based in Bussolengo in the province of Verona; - Cosmetics and Trichology Division, with headquarters in Settimo di Pescantina in the province of Verona; - the ''San Demetrio'' Organic Farm, ''San Demetrio'' Herbal Workshop and the Botanical Laboratory of selection and experimentation in Specchia, in the province of Lecce; - Organic Farm in Ferrara di Monte Baldo in the province of Verona; The Group also includes the Giuseppe Maria Ricchiuto Publishing House and the Centre for the Promotion of Studies and Research in the field of Medicinal Plants, which cooperates with the University of Bari. Moreover, the company set up interesting partnerships with many Italian universities – Bari, Milan, Florence and Pisa – to conduct studies on medicinal plants and organic crops. Euphytos, which is a brand of natural trichologic products for professional salons and Larico, a company specialising in the artisan cosmetics sector, also form part of Specchiasol Group.
