The concept behind SourceLet was created in the 1990s to help intermediaries and their clients to access a wide choice of insurance products. We have since developed new technology and new relationships to ensure we continue meeting that objective, enabling comparison on product quality and cover as well as price. Our development of comparison tools means clients and their letting agents get the right products from leading insurers. Our involvement in landlord property insurance has now led us to widen the services we offer to this growing segment of the UK residential property market, through the SourceLet brand. Side-by-side with our landlord property insurance, we can now offer landlord guarantee insurance that can cover unpaid rental income and tenancy problems such as civil nuisance or unlawful use, up to £50,000, until vacant possession is obtained. Avoidance of problem tenants is key to successful letting and with that in mind we introduced SourceLet tenant referencing. Costing as little as £6 per reference, a 24/7 online facility interrogates more than 25 different databases within 30 seconds, producing a detailed and accurate tenant reference. Our technology incorporates real time claims experience helping to identify a tenant’s propensity to default.
