About Society for News Design
Founded in 1979, the Society for News Design (SND) is an international organization for news media professionals and visual communicators – specifically those who create print/web/mobile publications and products.
As technology and communications change, SND is dedicated to our mission to invent, promote and teach the world's best visual journalism regardless of medium. We seek to:
* Promote the highest ethical standards in all of our crafts
* Champion visual journalism as an integral discipline
* Educate visual storytellers and journalists on a continuing basis
* Celebrate excellence in all aspects of journalism and design
