Societatea Studentilor in Medicina din Bucuresti (SSMB)

Students Society of Medicine in Bucharest also known as SSM or SSMB, was established on January 1875 for the students need and desire to assist each other to manifest itself in a scientific framework organized, especially in scientific documentation. SSMB is divided into 6 committees, which operate on a specific topic: • SCOPH - Public Health • SCORE - Reproductive Health and AIDS • SCORP - Refugees and Peace • SCOME - Medical Education • SCOPE + SCORE - Student Exchanges Projects are the union of the company's most important field of activity. Thus each committee has its own projects, which adds and large projects involving everyone. Among the best known projects include: - Voluntary donation campaign "Donate Blood! Be a Hero! " - "Teddy Bear Hospital" - "Little Sanitarians" - "Stay Negative" - "The hand with us" - "Get Involved in refugee asylum" - Training of first aid with SMURD Bucharest - "Medical Education Days" - - Beat the silence - Numerous information campaigns: smoking, tuberculosis, cervical cancer etc.. In addition to these projects we organize events such as National Congress for Students and Young Doctors (probably the most prestigious event of the academic year), Spring Ball, but also well-known camp in the mountains and the sea in which to learn first aid techniques for specific environmental MountMed and Black Sea Medical Adventure. SSMB provide its members opportunities to study for limited periods in other universities in Romania or abroad.
