We are recognized globally as one of the leading producers of the highest quality of farm-raised shrimp. Our reputation for consistency in quality, supply and workmanship places us at the top of many of the most distinguished buyers' list . However, in 1982 we at SONGA switched focus and dedicate ourselves to the process and exportation of farm raised white shrimp. With our new focus, all of our operations moved to our current location on the outskirts of Guayaquil, Ecuador. We currently control over 8,000 hectares (19,900 acres) of farms to ensure that 75% of our raw materials are from our own facilities. Our production facility has a capacity of 250 tons per day. Annually, we export more than 45,000 tons of the finest farm-raised white shrimp globally.
Our processes have been audited by recognized firms in Europe and North America as well as local authorities to assure our customers that they have been handled on international standards. We have the following certifications:
