Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE)

The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) is a leading improvement support agency and independent charity working with the social care and support sector for adults and children across the UK. We provide: free resources including elearning materials, films and guides; paid-for training, consultancy, research and evaluation services. We can also develop digital resources, and disseminate information to the care and support sector. Our clients include: local authorities, CCGs, care and health providers, housing associations, charities, private sector organisations and national government departments. Our work is co-produced with people who use services and carers, and is delivered by subject matter experts. SCIE also leads the NICE Collaborating Centre for Social Care which develops NICE social care guidelines.
