Established in 1994, SIT Internet Solutions Technilogic was a privately held company headquartered in Sainte-Foy, Quebec with branch offices in Europe and Africa employing more than 125 employees, specialized in areas related to Internet development and intranets, as well as marketing multimedia solutions. The company was notably involved in the development of customized solutions, training, securing transactions on the Internet and documentary research and management tools.SIT Internet Solutions Technilogic designed customized Internet or Intranet software packages for businesses and major Internet providers such as Bell Sympatico, Cogéco, Québec Téléphone, Videotron and Ville de Montréal. As a preferred partner and accredited training center of Netscape Communications, the company has also produced and distributed Internet Passport Navigator, Internet Passport Navigator Gold and Internet FasTrack Passport products in multiple languages for the Canadian and European retail markets. The company was also a strategic partner of other leading Internet industry personalities, such as Navio, Shiva, NetManage, Silicon Graphics, NetNanny and Dassault AT.In 1997, following a financial stress and capital reorganization part of SIT Internet Solutions Technilogic merged with GESPRO, becoming SIT-GESPRO Integration, consolidating their complementary expertise in order to continue offering to public and private organizations more integrated and concrete Intranet and Internet services and solutions. In 1998, SIT Europe, a fully owned subsidiary of SIT Internet Solutions Technilogic was acquired by a Belgium based company named UBIZEN after having completed a corporate restructuration in mid 1997.
