Information
The Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior, also known as the Salvatorian Sisters, takes its name from the Latin word for Savior, "Salvator." The international religious community was co-founded by Father Francis Jordan and Mother Mary of the Apostles in Tivoli, Italy in 1888. Today the Salvatorian Sisters minister in 28 countries on five continents to make known the goodness and kindness of Jesus, Savior of the world. Our mission is to foster awareness of a loving God among people in whatever place and by whatever means the Spirit of God inspires. Our founders envisioned collaborative ministries with lay persons, and over the years, the partnership has grown in all facets of ministry including education, healthcare, religious formation, pastoral care and social work.
