Sidewalk Infrastructure Partners (SIP) was formed in 2019 and is backed by Alphabet, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and StepStone Group as its anchor partners. SIP’s mandate is to transform infrastructure by harnessing the power of technology. We leverage innovation to make infrastructure more resilient, sustainable, accessible, convenient, equitable, efficient, safe, and affordable.
SIP’s flexible holding company structure enables us to act as a long-term strategic partner with patient capital. We generally take a hybrid approach, both funding and developing large-scale next-generation infrastructure projects and advancing and investing in the technologies that enable those infrastructure projects. As projects scale and companies grow, SIP can marshal additional capital, continuing to offer both project finance for next-generation infrastructure and equity and engineering resources for cutting-edge technologies that enhance those projects, while at the same time leveraging our deep expertise and vast ecosystem to help projects and companies scale and grow.
