Sickle Cell Disease Advocates of Minnesota

The Sickle Cell Disease Advocates of Minnesota is a non-profit organization dedicated to seeking better services, better care and a cure for sickle cell disease. We are volunteer based and donor financed. Sickle Cell Disease is an inherited disease characterized by recurrent bone pains, severe anemia and infections. There are many other acute events as well as chronic manifestations that make this a serious disease. The best outcomes that prolong life into late adulthood include early diagnosis, adequate regular and prompt treatment of any complications and bone marrow transplant if feasible.
