Shugart Enterprises/McDonald's

Hi - it’s Terry Shugart, your local owner/operator of 10 McDonald’s restaurants in Georgia and South Carolina. Let me tell you a bit about my McDonald’s journey.As a teenager, I wanted a job and decided to join my local McDonald’s as a crew person making $1.85 an hour. That was August of 1971. Six years later, I met my wife under the arches which, just like the Big Mac, was love at first sight. After working my way up the ranks, I finally became an owner/operator for my first McDonald’s in Columbia, South Carolina. I was blessed. That was August of 2001. If you’ve done your math correctly, that’s 47 years with McDonald’s. I love my job and the opportunities I get, as an owner, to support my people and celebrate their accomplishments. I’m also proud to support our local communities, helping make our home a great place to live! I’ve always been proud to work for a clown (Ronald McDonald) and will always work to make our arches shine bright.We know you have choices, and we appreciate you choosing us!
