Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science (SGSITS), Indore was established in 1952. SGSITS is recognized as a leading institute in the state of Madhya Pradesh and the western region of India. It has been ranked among top 30 to 40 institutes on a national level (including IITs and NITs) by various independent bodies. Further looking into its credentials, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi, have declared the institute as autonomous. Presently, the institute offers ten fulltime undergraduate degrees, four part-time undergraduate courses, twenty two fulltime postgraduate programs, and two part-time postgraduate courses in various disciplines of engineering, technology, applied sciences, computer applications, management, and pharmacy.
