Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd. (SADI) is founded in 1982, acompanied by the fast development of Shenzhen Special Ecomonic Zone, it has been developing from a design house with only dozens of employees into a comprehensive national grade A design institute under direct leadership of Shenzhen Municipal Government with 2700 employees. With its headquarter based in Shenzhen which is known as "City of Design" nationwide, SADI is located in Design mansion at #8 Zhenhua Road, and is composed of the First, Second, Third sub-institute, Institute of City Building and Envoironment Design and Research, Urban Planning and Design Institute, Institute of Decorative Design and Research, Institute of Zhuyuan, Bosen, Chengyu and departments directly under them. SADI has sub-institutes distributed in Chongqing, Wuhan, Beijing, Hefei, Chengdu, Xi'an, Kunming, Hainan and Dongguan. With Zongyuan Property Management Co. Ltd. as company owned holding enterprise, it also has participating companies such as Zhongguan Construction Supervision Company, Jingding Architectural Engineering Consultation Co., Ltd. Chief Architect Meng Jianmin is a national surveying and design master.
