We started as a small pastry shop in Ozone Park, Queens, in 1960. Making pasta, especially tortellini, was Joseph Seviroli's real passion. The tortellini was rare in New York at the time. He purchased a machine from Italy and started manufacturing in the basement of the pastry shop.
It wasn't long until word got out about the pasta, and soon people were lining up out the door. Demand continued to grow as customers lined up around the store to get their hands on authentic Italian tortellini. That led to purchasing a nearby building in Garden City, New York, where three traditional tortellini lines were added to the facility, and Seviroli Foods was officially born.
Today, we are still family-owned and operated. We still use only authentic ingredients our grandparents used when making pasta from scratch. Everything is still made on equipment imported from Italy.
